Up for sale is this old photograph of an even older Dracula movie poster
.
I've seen other antique paper documents "restored" by this method.  It does preserve it in a sense.
It's quite large and measures about 13-1/2" by 10-3/4".
It's printed on Kodak paper and was probably printed in the 1970's or so.
The original poster photographed looks like it had some damage like tears and staining but
they didn't have Photoshop back then to fix those things in the printed photo.
