    Description

This set of Grover “milk-bottle” Rotomatics (102C) has never been installed on a guitar and includes all the mounting hardware including the screw-in bushings, washers and Phillips heads screws. These tuning machines were made in the 1970s and are still in the original box. They have the initials “USA” cast in the underside of the base. Martin, and other guitar companies like Gibson, used Rotomatics in the 1960s through the 1980s. Martin D-28 models were shipped with Rotomatics beginning in the late 1950s, and D-18 and D-21 models got them by 1966. These gears all turn smoothly. They turned up in the back of a parts drawer at Gryphon where they'd been for many years and the box does show some wear. If we haven’t used them by now maybe it’s time they migrate to someone who has a more immediate need for them.
We ship on the Wednesday following the end of the Sunday auctions.
