Dake 3A1 Arbor Press.
I’ve had this press for a few years, I have used it occasionally but I have another press and need the space. I am not in the business of buying and selling tooling. I just ended up with an extra press.
It’s in pretty good shape. The ratchet has wear but works good none of the teeth slip. I just disassembled it, cleaned, sandblasted and lubed it on reassembly. (note: my sandblaster is not the best so I was not able to get all the old paint off).
Please note the press was heavily modified by the previous owner. I got it from an electric motor rebuilding company. They modified it for a specific job. While it was in production it does not seem to be “worn out” from it. They cut part of the base off and bolted it to a piece of 1 ½” plate with a large hole which is attached to a heavy angle and channel frame. It also has a plate on the side I assume was used to slide the parts on and off. It came with the two parts shown along with a few other odd rings. It was bolted to the floor and the swinging plate was resting on a table when I got it. Even with a lot of force applied I could not detect any movement between the arbor press and the plate so it is very secure and heavy duty. Yes, it is also very heavy with that plate on it.
Shipping: I have a pallet I can bolt it to but have no other means of strapping it down so while I believe it would be ok I can’t guarantee it will stay attached during shipping. I am willing to take the press to a local Kansas City trucking terminal after it is paid in full but the buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. Local pickup is preferred.
