    *PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING:
Technically, any of the guitar hardware we sell can be made to fit any guitar model with the proper tools & modifications.
If you are not comfortable measuring or modifying your guitar, please take your guitar to a certified technician or luthier, or purchase a drop-in replacement tuner set that has been verified to work with your model guitar without modification.
We cannot guarantee any of our products will be a “drop-in” fit for a specific guitar make or model, but we can give you some info to help you make a more educated buying decision when it comes to purchasing hardware for your guitar.
If you have any questions regarding this item, how to measure your guitar for replacing hardware, or for any other reason, please don’t hesitate to message us directly on eBay!
    Measuring for replacement tuning machines:
If you would like to buy a “drop-in” tuner set, please continue reading below!
    You will need to check
    3
    measurements:
    Peg hole diameter(s)
Mounting screw or pin mounting type
Distance(s) between peg hole centers & mounting screw/pinhole centers
Note: For pin style mounting tuners, Schaller uses TWO pins approximately 2.3mm in diameter, with 10mm spacing between their centers
Please compare the above dimensions of your guitar to the dimensions shown in the manufacturer’s technical drawing
    in the photo gallery above.
    *Please Note:
Original F-Series 70's tuners use a vintage-style press-in bushing which secures the tuner string post into position. Their string posts have a smaller 6mm diameter with a split shaft.
If you have an older guitar, check its tuner peg holes. If they’re staggered and use a press-fit bushing, they’re a “vintage” style tuner machine. Most vintage Fender®-style headstock post holes were drilled to
    ¼”
diameter, then reamed on the front face to
    11⁄32”
    or
    ⅜”
wide to accommodate the press-in bushing.
All other Schaller tuner sets we offer are sealed gear type tuning machines. This type of tuner requires a straight-through 10mm diameter peg hole and utilizes a threaded bushing & washer on the front face of the headstock to secure the tuners to the headstock. This style of tuner has become the unofficial standard for most modern guitar manufacturers.
