Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6") chrome postcard with a daylight view ofKnappogue Castle in County Clare, Ireland, one of the favorite tourist sites
near Shannon airport in the west, known for its nightly banquets.

"KNAPPOGUE CASTLE, CO. CLARE: John Maccon McNamara (Lord Clancullen)
built this historic castle about 1450. The 'Norman Keep' was later extended to form an
elaborate edifice of Georgian and Regency periods. Knappogue was restored as a
cultural centre and tourist attraction by the Andrews family, the owners; The Shannon Free
Airport Development Co. and Bord Fáilte. Mediaeval Banquets and colourful Historical Pageants
are presented at Knappogue nightly, May through October."
