Description
Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard with an evening view of the Upper Lakein the Vale of Glendalough, County Wicklow, Ireland, in one of its moods.

Back caption reads,
"GLENDALOUGH: A lonely valley of great beauty situated in the heart of
the Wicklow Mountains, 30 miles south of Dublin. The site of one of Ireland's most
famous monastic cities. Founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century, it attracted students
from all over Christendom, until its destruction in the 14th century. The ruins
include seven churches,
a cathedral, various
dwellings and a round tower. Visitors can row across the Upper Lake to St. Kevin's bed,
a narrow cleft among the rocks."
