A journey of about 2 1/2 miles from Killarney brings one to Aghadoe Hill (400 feet).
The ruins here comprise a round tower, church and castle. The church, 80 ft. long
by 20 ft. broad, shows work of various periouds, the west wall of which has an elaborate
and beautiful Hiberno-Romanesque doorway. Aghadoe Hill affords what is perhaps the
most comprehensive view of the Killarney district with a wonderful panorama of the mountains
and the island-studded Lower Lake."
