Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard showing the park in Avoca,County Wicklow, Ireland, and the stark trunk and branches of a tree made famous
by Irish poet Thomas Moore, who read and wrote about the "Meeting of the Waters"
beneath it.

"AVOCA, CO. WICKLOW: About 3 miles north of Avoca Village
the Avoca River is formed by the 'Meeting of the Waters' of the Avonmore and
Avonbeg rivers which mingle in a setting of sylvan beauty. Nearby may be seen
the stark skeleton of Tom Moore's Tree now bereft of all foliage and where the
poet is said to have spent long hours resting beneath its then luxuriant boughs.
Avoca is a convenient centre for visiting Glendalough, Glenmalure, Lough Tay,
Lough Dan and other beauty spots."
