Vintage Continental-sized (approx 4x6") color postcard showing the Front Square and Campanile at Trinity College, Dublin, circa 1980s.
Front title on blue border reads, "TRINITY COLLEGE DUBLIN".
Back caption reads:
"The Campanile shown in this picture houses the great bell of the College. Built in 1853,
it also contains the smaller 'Provost Bell' which may have hung in the monastery of All Hallows,
the site of Trinity College. The great bell is rung before each examination and for
Commencements, the degree conferring ceremony. The Library of Trinity College contains
the 'Book of Kells', one of the world's most beautifully illuminated manuscripts."
