Vintage postcard with an illustrated view of the bridge at the Meeting of the Waters near Avoca (Ovoca), Ireland, a scene made famous in the series "Ballykissangel".
White caption on front reads "MEETING BRIDGE & MOORE'S TREE, OVOCA, CO WICKLOW VIA HOLYHEAD & KINGSTOWN. THE ROYAL MAIL ROUTE".
Published in the London & North Western Railway Company postcard series, printed by McCorquodale & Co., Ltd.
Orange caption on back reads "The Royal Mail Route from England to Killarney, Cork, Waterford, and the South and West of Ireland, is via Holyhead and Kingstown."
Split back, used with an inked note dated 1910 but not posted.
Good condition with some age discoloration and faint album marks on the address side.
