    Description

Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6") postcard with a blue-bordered view of Blarney Castle,
County Cork, Ireland, home of the Blarney Stone.
    Front banner reads, "Blarney Castle."
    Back caption reads,
"BLARNEY CASTLE: Situated five miles from Cork City, the Castle is famous for its Stone,
which has the traditional power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it. The world 'Blarney'
has found its way into the English language and has been described as pleasant talk,
intended to deceive without offending. The battlements crowning the Castle's peak are
typically Irish in form. Below them is set in the wall the famous Stone, and, to kiss it, one has
to lean backwards (grasping an iron railing) from the parapet walk."
Card No. 2/1966-B published by John Hinde Ltd., Cabinteely, Dublin 18.
    Split back; unused.
Good condition with light edge wear and album glue residue on address side. See photos.
