Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard with a view of the amazingfront exposure
and width of Castletown manor house at Celbridge, Kildare, Ireland.

"CASTLETOWN, CELBRIDGE, CO. KILDARE:
Built in 1722 by William Conolly, CASTLETOWN was for more than 200 years
the home of the Conollys and their heirs. In 1967 is was bought by Desmond Guinness
and restored, mainly by voluntary effort, to become the headquarters of the Irish
Georgian Society. Designed by Alessandro Galilei, CASTLETOWN contains
magnificent plasterwork by the Francini brothers, the famous decorated Long Gallery
hung with Venetian Chandeliers, fine Irish furniture and pictures of the 18th Century."
