Description
Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) color postcard with a view of the Cathedralof Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Nicholas in Galway, Ireland.

Officially dedicated in 1965, Galway's new Cathedral is to a great extent built
from local limestone and Connemara marble. Its design is cruciform and its dome
rises to 126 ft. above the altar. The Cathedral is 300 ft. long and 158 ft. wide
and has seating accommodation for 2,000 people. Part of the interior is sound-proofed
behind a glass partition, thus enabling mothers to bring their children without
disturbing the congregation."
