Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard with a view of the stunning Cliffs of Moher
on the Atlantic coast of Ireland, with a seagull hovering and O'Brien's Tower on the headland
in the distance.
Front white captions read, "CLIFFS OF MOHER" and "O'Brien's Tower".
Back caption reads,
"THE CLIFFS OF MOHER, CO. CLARE: These majestic cliffs,
among the most magnficent stretches of cliff scenery in these islands,
front the Atlantic to a height of nearly 200 m and extend for a distance
of 8 km from Hag's Head due west of Liscannor to a point beyond O'Brien's
Tower. They take their name from a ruined promontory fort, Mothar,
which was demolished during the Napoleonic wars to make room
for a signal tower."
