Description
Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard showingthe cruise boat ST. CIARAN on the River Shannon at Killaloe pier, County Clare, Ireland.

"CRUISING ON THE RIVER SHANNON AT KILLALOE, CO. CLARE:
The River Shannon flows for the greater part through the Central Plain of
Ireland. Killaloe has a very fine situation on the west bank of the Shannon,
where the river emerges from Lough Derg and narrows again on its way
to the sea at Limerick. C.I.E. (the national transport organization) operates
cruises on the River Shannon from Athlone southwards to Killaloe and also
northwards through Lough Rea to Carrick-on-Shannon."
