Description
Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) color postcard with a viewof Wexford's oldest castle, Ferrycarrig, on the River Slaney near Wexford town.
Back caption reads, "FERRYCARRIG CASTLE, FERRYCARRIG, CO. WEXFORD,
IRELAND. Situated two miles from Wexford on a crag overlooking the River Slaney
stands this tower on the site of what was probably the first Anglo-Norman Castle
erected in Ireland. On the opposite side of the river is a tower built to commemorate
the Wexford men lost in the Crimean War."
Card published by NPO Dexter with printing by Litho Canada.
Split back, used, posted 1989 to Celbridge.
