Description
Vintage Contintental-sized (approx. 4x6) postcard with a view of the Calvary at Healy Pass,on the Cork / Kerry border in the West of Ireland.
A serpentine road winds across the Irish hills below the divide.
Front caption reads, "Healy Pass between Co. Cork and Co. Kerry, Ireland."
Back caption reads,
"HEALY PASS: The Beara Peninsula is one of the four long fingers
trailing in the Atlantic on the southwestern coast of Ireland. It is a coast
drowsing with palms and exotic sub-tropical blooms. The Caha mountains
form a rugged spine down the length of the peninsula. At the Healy Pass, a
spectacular 'alpine' road cuts through the mountains, and from the Calvary
at the bare and rocky summit the road falls like a twisted ribbon to the luxuriant
shoreline, to continue to lovely Glengarriff."
