    in County Wexford, Ireland.
Front caption reads, "Johnstown Castle, near Wexford Town, Ireland."
Back caption reads, "JOHNSTOWN CASTLE, NEAR WEXFORD TOWN: The original castle
at Johnstown, 3 1/2 miles south of Wexford town, was built in the 13th century by the Anglo-Norman
family of Esmonde. It was dismantled by Oliver Cromwell, and sold by one of his soldiers to
John Grogan of Yorkshire in 1683. By the marriage of a widow, Mrs. Grogan-Morgan to Sir
Thomas Esmonde, it returned in the 19th century to a descendent of the original owner. The castle
was more recently the residence of Lady Maurice Fitzgerald, whose grandson presented it
    to the nation in 1944."
