    Description

    Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) postcard with a view of Knappogue Castle
    in County Clare, Ireland, by night.
    Front caption reads, "Knappogue Castle by night, Co. Clare, Ireland."
    Back caption reads, "KNAPPOGUE CASTLE, CO. CLARE:
    This 15th century Castle adjacent to Quin village is about 7 miles
    from Shannon Airport. It was built by John Maccon McNamara (Lord Clancullen)
    about the year 1450. The original Norman structure was later extended to form an elaborate
    edifice of Georgian and Regency periods. Knappogue was restored as a
    cultural centre and tourist attraction by t
    he Shannon Free Airport Development Co.. Ltd., and a Mediaeval
    Banquet is held there
    nightly, May 1st to September 15th."
