Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard with a view of Kylemore
Abbey in Connemara, with boaters crossing its serene reflection.
Back caption reads,
"KYLEMORE ABBEY, CO. GALWAY, IRELAND. The
Abbey is picturesquely situated within the Pass of Kylemore
on the edge of Pollacappal Lough. This magnificent 19th century
granite and limestone building was the work of a wealthy Liverpool
merchant who reclaimed 1000's of acres of bogland, converting it
into extensive and beautiful gardens. Within these is a charming little
church, while the mansion itself, though damaged by fire in 1959,
is still occupied by Benedictine Nuns who have a boarding school
there."
