    Description

    Vintage Continental-sized (approx 4x6) color postcard with a beautiful tree-framed view of Kylemore Lake (home of Kylemore Abbey)
    in County Galway, Connemara, Ireland.
    Back caption reads, "Sunset at Kylemore Lake, Co. Galway" and "The name Kylemore derives from the Gaelic form
    An Choill Mhor, meaning the Big Wood. This beautiful lake which runs parallel with the road through the Pass of Kylemore
    is over a mile in length and is bounded on its northern bank by great masses of rocks covered with creeping plants
    and ferms".
    Published in Natural Color by J. Arthur Dixon, Newport, I. of W., UK.
    Split back, used, postmarked 1969 and mailed to New York. Note dated July 13 talks of baking an apple dumpling, cottage rental,
    and swans.
