Vintage Continental-sized (approx 4x6) postcard with a view of Lough Derg on the River Shannon, Ireland,
taken from the forested shore.

Back caption reads,
"LOUGH DERG, RIVER SHANNON:
This is the largest and most southerly of the Shannon lakes being 25 miles long and 2-3 miles
in average width. Its deeply indented shores, hilly background and numerous islets give it a varied
and beautiful setting. Fishing on Lough Derg is very popular and there are good catches of trout
especially in the Mayfly season. The lake is used as a vast natural reservoir by the Shannon
Hydro-Electric Works."
Split back, used with stamp for the USA but not postmarked.
Note reads,
"Hi! This is a beautiful green country. We've had a great time driving through
miles of pastures lined with stone walls. Hope our pictures turn out well so we can
