    long before state ownership.

    Split back; posted from Killarney to Painesville, OH, with two 2 pingin stamps, but date illegible.
    Inked note in extremely difficult handwriting reads something like,
    "Killarney April 11
    Alas misty skies & little sunshine. But ?? come to
    ? wildest expectations. It is the Emerald Isle!
    Green pastures with ? - yellow - gorse blossoming &
    ? ? Love picturesque thatched cottages & 2 wheel carts
