"NEW ROSS, CO. WEXFORD: One of the oldest towns in Co. Wexford,
New Ross has a fine situation on a steep hill overlooking the River Barrow. Its
streets, narrow and winding like those of Wexford town, present a medieval appearance.
It is an important inland port connected to Dublin and the interior by the Barrow Navigation
and the Grand Canal. Nearby at Dunganstown is the cottage which was the birthplace
of the great-grandfather of the late President of the U.S.A., John F. Kennedy."
