Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard showing Ownahincha Beachand Castlefreke, West Cork, Ireland, circa 1970s.

Cork, Ireland."
Back caption reads, "OWNAHINCHA and CASTLEFREKE, Near ROSSCARBERY,
WEST CORK: Situated in the heart of scenic West Cork, Ownahincha is a charming
secluded seaside resort with an abundance of uncrowded and unspoiled beach. Ownahincha,
Little Island and Creggane beaches are all on its doorstep and provide some of the finest
and safest bathing in the south. Nearby is Castlefreke demesne, formerly seat of Lord
Carbery whose descendants renounced the peerage in 1926. Rosscarbery is a picturesque
village at the head of a landlocked inlet of Rosscarbery Bay. Near the village St. Colman's Well
and the remains of Ross Abbey mark the site of an ancient Benedictine Priory."
