Description
Vintage Continental-sized (approx 4x6) color postcard with a view of the Patrick Street Bridge in central Cork, Ireland.Buses and vans cross the River Lee; St. Mary's and the Shandon steeple can be seen in view.

Black caption reads, "St. Patrick's Bridge over River Lee and Shandon Steeple, Cork City, Ireland."
Back caption reads, "The north channel of the river Lee is one of the few remaining channels of the
early more complex river Lee. St. Patrick's Bridge, opened in 1859, leads from the city centre to the north side
of Cork. Above the houses rises the strange 'pepper box' steeple of Shandon Church, which houses the
famous Bells of Shandon 'that sound so grand on the pleasant waters of the River Lee.'"
