Description
Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard with a well-directed viewof the pathway and green lawn leading to the campanile at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.

Back caption reads,
"TRINITY COLLEGE, DUBLIN:
The Campanile shown in this picture houses the great bell of the College.
Built in 1853, it also contains the smaller 'Provosts Bell' which may have hung
in the monastery of All Hallows, the site of Trinity College. The great bell is rung
before each examination and for Commencements, the degree conferring ceremony.
The smaller bell is rung to summon students and Fellows to Chapel on Sunday
morning. It rings three times when the Provost crosses the Front Square."
