Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) color roto chrome postcard showing the green Valeof Glendalough (Glen of the Two Lakes) in County Wicklow, Ireland.
The Round Tower at St. Kevin's monastic site is visible, center left.
Caption reads, "GLENDALOUGH, CO. WICKLOW, IRELAND".
Card No. 158 published in the Tru-Color series by Dollard Printinghouse.
Split back, used, posted from Greystones (Cloch Liath) 1960 and mailed to Surrey.
Inked note reads,
"July 8th
I shall not be calling for you on Tuesday as due to a strike our
journey home will be delayed for 3 days (very nice) & we shan't get home from
Holyhead till Tuesday p.m. We went here (Glendalough) the other afteroon -
juste fascinating. Still haven't had one half day rain that kept us in otherwise
is the very good. Call for you Tuesday week if I don't see you before. Love Gram Sybl."
