"WESTPORT, CO. MAYO: This pleasant town situated in an arm of Clew Bay, lies
in a hollow surrounded by trees and groves. The Mall, with its lime trees on both sides
of the river, is a charming thoroughfare. Westport is well known as a sea fishing
centre and attracts many visitors. There is also a championship golf course and bathing
at many beaches nearby. A favourite excursion from Westport is to Croagh Patrick
(Ireland's holy mountain)."
