Continental-sized (approx 4x6) chrome postcard with a view of the lNew Bridge over the River Blackwater
at Youghal, County Cork, Ireland.
An Esso tanker crosses the span.

Front caption reads, "New Bridge, over the river Blackwater, Youghal, Co. Cork, Ireland."
Back caption reads, "YOUGHAL is one of the foremost resorts of
County Cork situated at the mouth of the Blackwater River. It was the
headquarters of the Earls of Desmond sho in the fifteenth century
established and endowed the COLLEGIATE SCHOOL. The school stands
today, altered and renovated. Sir Walter Raleigh was closely identified with
Youghal and was Mayor of the town. In the garden of his house MYRTLE GROVE,
Raleigh planted the first potatoes grown in Ireland and smoked the first tobacco."
