Description
Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) colored postcard with a view of three older fellows "Taking it Easy"on haybales in a marketplace, somewhere in County Mayo, Ireland.
Card No. 606 in the Irish Country Life Series, published by Cardall, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.
Split back; used, hand-dated 6-25-84 and signed "Fred Astaire" (who was alive at that year, who frequented Ireland.....could be...)
Back note reads,

Yo, Mike -
These guys have the right idea (sit around telling dead baby jokes) You should have come, the place
is gorgeous, but I'm sure work is more fun! Believe it or not, there actually IS soap here. There are a lot of
cows in the road (haven't seen any dead ones though) and Barry is having problems steering past them
(ha ha). We are spending the night on an island off the coast that is blanketed by fog; you can't see two feet
out the window and neither can I. Are the Cubs still winning? Did the Blitz win? How the hell can you answer
these questions? More next week -- Fred Astaire."
