Vintage Continental-sized (approx. 4x6) chrome postcard with a lovely Irish woman of the Galway girl-type --
dark hair and blue eyes -- posing in a park,
her garb the colors of the Irish flag.
Caption on back in English reads, "IRISH COLLEEN. No longer the bare-foot girl of
traditional illustrations, the Irish Colleen of today is a modern, fashion-conscious young lady."
Caption as Gaeilge reads, "CAILIN EIREANNACH. Níl cailíní na hEireann
feasta mar na cailíní cosnochta tradisiúnta a bhíodh á léiriú tráth,
ach iad anois san fhaisean is nua-aimseartha."
